Do you know what’s the difference
between good and excellent design?
The answer to this question is not that simple. I firmly believe that we have to consider three different perspectives: the designer, the client and the user.
From a designer point of view is obvious: aesthetic. Put two websites in front of a designer, ask them to choose which is the best and they will choose the prettier. From a client perspective, is whether or not the product the designer has provided meets the goals that were originally presented. And final, from a user perspective, an excellent design is the one that works: if they can land on your website, locate the information they need and perform the action they need to, without getting lost or frustrated, you have won!
So, to sum things up, an excellent design needs to be beautiful, effective (needs to bring customers in) and functional (easy to read and use). This is the approach on my design.
