Action Sustainability is a team of environmental experts, consultants, and changemakers committed to helping organisations drive real, measurable change in the way they work. Their focus is on sustainability strategy, ESG performance, and supply chain transformation — and they do it through a mix of consultancy, award-winning training, and eLearning.
Visual support for training and aLearning
My collaboration with Action Sustainability began when Ross, my main point of contact, reached out after seeing the isometric illustrations I’d created for O2. He liked the hand-drawn feel of that project and asked if I could bring a similar tone to a series of educational illustrations for their internal and client-facing training courses.
Ongoing collaboration with Action Sustainability
Since then, the partnership has continued across multiple projects — covering topics like carbon footprint, environmental impact, and responsible construction practices. The style is purposely less clinical than typical corporate visuals: slightly cartoonish, with shaky lines and simplified forms to keep things approachable, clear, and human.
All the illustrations are created from scratch in Adobe Illustrator, often based on photo references to ensure accuracy and recognisability, even when the overall aesthetic leans toward playful and loose.
This has been one of those collaborations where the trust is mutual and the style just clicks — and I’m always happy when Ross’s name pops up in my inbox with a new brief.
